Scott Punahou Hokoana, 70, of Hilo died April 14 at the Hospice of Hilo Pohai Malama Care Center. Born in Hilo, he was a heavy equipment operator, member of the Operating Engineers Local 3 and US Army Vietnam Veteran. Visitation 9-11 a.m. Sunday (April 30) at Dodo Mortuary chapel, with a memorial service to follow at 11 a.m. Graveside urn committal service noon Monday (May 1) at the Hawaii Veterans Cemetery No. 2. Casual attire. Survived by wife, B.J. Anne Hokoana of Honolulu; daughter, Moana (Kepa Kekaualua) Hokoana Kelii of Hilo; brothers, Clifford (Mary Lou) Hokoana of Pahoa and Louis “Chappy” (Rosemary) Hokoana of Hilo; sister, K. Doris (Yanagawa) Ishikane, 72, of Honolulu died March 29 in Honolulu. Born in Hilo, she was a retired critical care registered nurse at The Queen’s Medical Center and graduate of Hilo High School and University of Hawaii School of Nursing. Visitation 3-4 p.m. Saturday, May 6, at Hosoi Garden Mortuary in Honolulu. Service at 4 p.m. Aloha attire; no flowers. Survived by husband, Jerry Ishikane; daughter Denise (Ryan) Shigeta; son, Kevin (Jessica) Ishikane; brothers, Richard Yanagawa and Sidney Yanagawa, two grandchildren. Benjamin Naboa Notario, 84, of Naalehu died April 13 at Hale Nani Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in Honolulu. Born in Agno, Pangasinan, the Philippines, he was a macadamia nut picker and member of Naalehu Sacred Heart Catholic Church. All-night vigil at the family home, 95-5555 Lokelani St., Naalehu, from 5 p.m. Thursday (April 27). Visitation 8-10 a.m. Friday (April 28) at Naalehu Sacred Catholic Church. Elmer Yoneda, 76, of Kohala died April 13 at home. Born in Kohala, he was retired from the state Department of Accounting and General Services.
